24/10/40 incident 341 at 14.30 St Zeno British Naval Vessel anchored 1/2 miles from shore at Rinnroe and continues
Ship reported is British Armed Escort Vessel, developed engine trouble in convoy 500 miles to sea expected to have repairs completed between 20.00 and 23.59 hours tonight. Commanded by Lt Commander Moorehouse, strength of crew 30man. Above particulars reported by Garda Siochana Sergt Rossport Station

C.I.O ordered local Garda Sergt to meet Military and direct him to the port where ship was anchored wether there sill or not
